What we keep
Your mail is yours. This page says what we hold, what we do with it, and who can see it. It is short because the answer is short.
What we keep
Messages stay in the inbox they were delivered to until the account that owns them deletes them. There is no retention clock running on your behalf and no date on which we quietly throw things out.
We keep the delivery records a mail service needs in order to work and to answer a complaint: the addresses a message went to and came from, the times, and the outcomes. Those records are what lets us tell a postmaster what happened.
What we do not do
- We do not sell any of it.
- We do not build a profile of anyone from it.
- We do not read your mail to build anything.
- We do not train anything on it.
- We do not show it to advertisers. There are none.
Who can see content
Nobody outside the account. The people who run the service see that mail moved, not what it said, unless a complaint or a fault makes a look necessary, and then as little as the matter needs.
If a law we are bound by compels us to hand something over, we hand over only as much as it compels and no more.
The form
What you write in the form is used to answer you and for nothing else. The form sends nothing to the address you enter; if a reply is due, a person writes it. Your message is kept with its reply so that whoever picks up the thread next knows what was said.
Asking a privacy question
Through the write to us page. Say what you want to know, or what you want deleted, and a person answers.
