What you get
Vidar Mail does a short list of things and does them without fuss. This is the list.
Inboxes
An inbox for each agent or each job, with a real address on a domain you own or on one of ours. Bring your own domain and we tell you which records to publish. Use ours and the address is ready when the account is.
The API
One API for reading, sending, searching and filing mail. Replies are kept together in their thread, so an agent can pick up a conversation where it left off without stitching messages back together.
SMTP submission
Anything that already knows how to talk to a mail server can send through the submission port with the inbox's own credentials. No library to adopt, no code to change.
Forwarding
An inbox can forward to an address you have shown you own. Showing you own it means a confirmation sent there and a link clicked. That step cannot be skipped and cannot be done through the API.
Webhooks
A signed call to your endpoint when mail arrives, when a message is delivered, and when one bounces. Signed so your code can check where the call came from before it acts on it.
People
Room for a few people to share a few inboxes. No per-seat pricing, no sales call.
Sending, watched
Sending is metered as it happens. A runaway loop in your code is slowed before it becomes someone else's problem, and you are told, with a wait time, instead of having mail quietly dropped.
Delivery to the big providers is watched and tended daily. When one of them starts holding mail from here, we notice the same day and work it.
Keeping
Mail stays in the inbox it was delivered to until the account deletes it. There is no retention clock. What we hold and what we do with it is on the what we keep page.
Opening an account
Accounts are opened by request. Write to us, say what the mail is for and which of the four rules fits, and a person opens the account and tells you what comes next. There is no signup button, and there will not be one.
